I have an older computer that I am trying to set up with my wifi. When I put the cd in to start set up I get the following message:

the prodedure entry point decoder pointer could not be located in the dynamic link library and then kernel 32.dll

What am I doing wrong or is it not compatible

Not sure why you are posting in networking but it sounds like you have XP without the latest service packs. You should have SP3.

If this is an AMD CPU then you need to get KB953356:
http://www.microsoft...ang=en&id=23751
and install it first.

You should be offered the SP3 update from MS Updates but if not you can get it from:
