OK I have put this out to the other techs for suggestions :)

But for the meantime could you recreate the situation. I.e. copy across the same picture to the iPad as before, allow it to complete and synch
Then safely remove the iPad and see if the subfolders are now accessible

Thanks mate. I've followed procedure and the iPad is syncing correctly, but the folder issue still remains.

Could there be a desktop.ini file in the subfolder that is trying to open some malware that you have removed?

OK the easiest way to check those out is to use a batch file

Batch File

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  • Click on the Start Posted Image button and in the search box, type Notepad and click on it
  • Copy (Ctrl+C) all of the text in the following box and paste (Ctrl+V) it into Notepad

    CD \
    DIR /S /A:L > %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\JunctionPoints.txt
    START JunctionPoints.txt
    EXIT

  • Go to File > Save As... and save it to your Desktop named fix.bat. Make sure you change the Save as type to All Files (*.*)
  • Locate fix.bat on your Desktop and right click then select Run as administrator

When this finishes scanning, it should open a file, JunctionPoints.txt, copy and paste this into your next post please. If it doesn't open, it can be found on your Desktop.

Additionally could you set hidden files to visible

Go Control Panel > Folder Options > View
Select "Show Hidden Files and Folders"
OK out

Then go to one of the subfolders
Is there a file called desktop.ini
If so could you right click and select Edit
Then copy/paste the contents of that file here

Hi,

Apologies for the delay. Had a few other things to do.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I've Ran it but after 15 mins got a pop-up saying something along the lines of "Windows cannot find Junctionpoints.txt. Please try again"

Folder options updated.

Just checked desktop after saying all that, and it still managed to create one..

OK this is an experience in tracking it down in the system

Could you download and run Shellexe view

When the programme opens click on the company heading and all those that are not related to MS should be at the top
Could you take a screenshot to include all of them please
