how to create copies of txt files with a part of the content changed n

I like to make multiple copies of the same txt file but have one number in the file changed.

e.g.

original file1.txt reads "this is person 1"

I need file2.txt to read "this is person 2", file3.txt to read "this is person 3" etc...

To run in cmd as a batch file preferably.
