Hello,

I'm using an old desktop I built 5 years ago with a fresh Windows 7 32 bit install. I can't remember if this problem came up previously, but I have blue vertical pinstripes across the screen. In some areas of deeper color on the screen they are not present. I don't believe it's a monitor issue, because when playing games the lines are not there. Also, images appear somewhat distorted and have the lines going through them. I have already installed the most recent driver for my graphics card with no response. I've googled the [bleep] out of it with no real results.

Some system details:

OS: Win 7 32 bit
Processor: AMD Phenom 9950 Quad-core 2.61 Ghz
Graphics: Radeon HD 3200

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

What's the model# of the monitor? You might consider connecting the monitor to another PC too.

Thanks for the reply. It's an Acer LCD, and the model number is AL2016WB. Unfortunately I don't have another PC to hook it up to at the moment.

Take it to a friends to try. That's the quickest way to determine if it's the monitor or your graphics card.
