You can upload to imgur and it will generate a url for you, no account needed.

Alternatively, you can attach an image - Click "choose file" just beneath the pane you type in when posting a reply/create new topic. Max 2MB per file.

Niyol

If you want to post a picture from any given website simply right click on the picture and click View Image.

This will kind of separate the picture from the website with its own URL.

Copy that URL by highlighting it by left clicking once and then right click and click Copy

In any reply click the Insert Image box and you will see that http:// is highlighted in blue, click Delete.

Hover your mouse pointer over that box and click Paste.

Done.

Here is a URL of a web site that has a picture of a hard drive.

http://www.pantherpr...=whatisharddisk

And here is the picture of it via doing what I have described above.

Hi yeah I see it now haha. I tired a webhosting account a month or so ago and they had a thing that stopped people linking to your pictures, I think it said about not leaching bandwidth or something but don't quote me on that as my memory is as bad as my lazy eyes.
Thanks Mr WolfeyMole

Hello BHowett I just didn't want to have to open any more accounts, I find I have to open accounts for so many things. I've lost count of how many I have. I had to get a book to write them all in and its almost half full.
Thank you
It's late here so what I wrote may not make sense as I'm half asleep and very woooozy if that's a word.

Hi Niyol,

What OS is installed? If you have Vista or above you could use your snipping tool to copy the image and save to your desktop, then attach from there. I don't know what I would with my snipping tool. Thing is, attaching from the desktop seems to create that thick grey border and Photobucket doesn't, which I rely on tremendously to create tutorials, canned speeches, etc. Photobucket is my best friend (next to google that is)

In XP you could do the same with paint after you save an image by pressing your prt sc key and pasting to paint and save to your desktop from within paint.

Only thing I don't like about Photobucket is that if you delete the image (or your account) in your account at Photobucket, any image that you have posted anywhere online will be removed since the file path is no longer in existence.

I agree, but if you save it on your pc and upload it to G2G you will only have a little bit of storage. linking to an online site you can post as many pictures as you want.

Storage? Meaning storage limits here on GTG? Please pardon my ignorance, but that never crossed my mind. :upset:

EDIT: OMGoodness! Just checked my storage. How silly of me for not thinking about that. Boy do I fell like an idiot!

I've had Photobucket for years Niyol and it's great, well apart from the attempt to tart it up.

I've never even taken a picture if you don't count print screens.
