Hello Essexboy, I wanted to let you know I am just going to plug the hard drive into an adapter and backup the personal data and format fresh to get rid of this issue once and for all. Also thank you again for all your time and effort to help me resolve the issue. nothing seemed to have worked so I felt this was a last resort. Thank you again.
