is one browser better than another & if so, why?

Internet Explorer is very good, but it's also very popular. That means people looking to hijack your computer target their efforts toward Internet Explorer. If you keep your computer updated with critical updates, the risk can be minimized. However, the best choice is usually to choose an alternate browser. We recommend Firefox. It functions much like IE, but also has a number of additional features.
