Internet connection slow on one computer

just tested my Sony Experia android phone, 

that also gets 7.5mbps

Ok, perform the same steps below for that machine as well.

 

 

Hit the start button and type services.msc then scroll down to the computer browser service.
Right click and stop the service.
Right click again and select properties.
Change the start up type to disabled
Hit apply ok.

Repeat the same for the iphelper service.

 

 

Open your device manager hit the start button then right click on computer then select properties then select device manager.

In device manager, click the View menu and select Show hidden devices

Then hit view again and select devices by connection.



Then scroll down right click and uninstall the drivers listed below,dont worry these will be reinstalled upon reboot by windows.

Reboot at the prompt to do so....

 

Now open elevated command windows 8

Post the results for the problem machine after doing this for the other machine.

 

Reason is that that machine may be causing the issue basically it is being dominant and telling the other machines that you can't share the internet with me.... :laughing:

Done that but hasnt affected connection speeds.

Lenovo is back to 0.77mbps on last test. intermittent as before

Remove Mcafee from that machine and test.

 

Use the removal tool from here.

Reboot and then test the connection, also post a fresh minitoolbox log from the problem machine.

Off a little early due to rain. :)

 

 

Lets do this.

 

 

  1. Click Start, and then click Network. (Or you type ncpa.cpl into the search box, and press ENTER).
  2. Click on the Network and Sharing Center, and then click Manage Network Connections.
  3. Right click on the Local Area Connection or the connection you are using, and then select Properties.
  4. Select the Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
  5. Click the Advanced button under the General tab.
  6. Click the WINS tab.

Now make sure that your Wins Setting are the same as in the picture below.

Ok, your way out of there and then run this tool for me.

 

 


  • Download TFC by OldTimer to your desktop.
  • Close any open windows
  • Double click the TFC icon to run the program. (Vista/7/8 Users, Right Click and select Run as Admin)
  • TFC will close all open programs itself in order to run
  • Click the Start button to begin the process
  • Allow TFC to run uninterrupted
  • Once its finished it should automatically reboot your machine, if it doesn't, manually reboot to ensure a complete clean.
