avast won't quarantine the malware/ viruses

Hello Geekstogo,

This is the message I keep getting- 28 times!

"Failed to chest /.MobileBackups/Computer/2014-08-23-214619/Volume/Applications/MacSave.app/Contents/MacOS/vindinstaller: Permission denied."

I've run several scans over the past few days; these viruses/ malware all showed up on 23/08/14. Avast! fails to chest these and/or remove completely.

Apple support advised me to contact Avast!, remove the malware, perform back up with time machine and reinstall Mavericks.

I'm still waiting for Avast! to get back to me.

Can someone please advise?

I'm afraid we will be unable to assist you in this part of the forum because primarily it is for Windows based Anti-Malware support as are the specific tools we use.

You could ask in the relevant Operating Systems part of the forum though.
