I'm referring to the icon in the task bar and the internal speakers but always was good quality before.

Try the following;

 

1. Right click on the "speaker icon" right hand corner of the taskbar

2. Click "Playback devices"

3. Under Playback Tab, click "Speaker -HD Audio Device" and then click "Properties"

4.Under Enhancements Tab, check on "Loudness Equalization", then click OK

That did help some with the sound. Thank you. So did we figure out is the ram max 2gb or 4gb? I guess from your response that everything looks good and that there's nothing more I really need to do other then just activate wins 7  and I take it that all drivers are okay and no need for downloading and installing anything.

Aye 2GB of Ram is the max, drivers are all good and all you need to do now is activate Windows, nothing more
