Hi phillpower2,

I was able to reconnect to the internet and install Windows XP SP3.  So things are back to normal.

I'm still wondering why the computer got into an endless cycle of booting.  As I mentioned in my first post, it was completely disconnected and carefully stored for about 3 months.  Then when I reconnected everything, the reboot problem began.  One of life's sweet mysteries I suppose?

Again, thank you for all your diagnostic help.  Should the same problem arise for me again, or for others, this topic provides valuable tools for troubleshooting.

Till we meet again!
