Hello

I am seriously getting fed up with windows. I have a recurring issue where disk usage hits 100% and the computer becomes unusable. I've solved it a couple of times after much googling, however this time I can't work it out.
This is seriously driving me closer and closer towards Apple.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a toshiba satellite p750 running 8.1.

Thanks for the reply guys!

I ran super anti spyware online scan and it found 15 tracking cookies. After it cleared these it worked fine. I had scanned with defender but it found nothing, but I tried SAS and it found stuff.

Should I uninstal defender and use another antivirus?

You can not uninstall defender, it is built into windows, and tracking cookies are a part of life when using a computer,

I would suggest one of the following antivirus, after disabling windows defender.

http://www.360totalsecurity.com/en/
http://www.cloudantivirus.com/en/

Make sure that you disable defender and the other items I suggested.

You should also disable un-needed start up items as well.

Download and install Unchecky. This software will prevent unwanted items, being installed by you unknowingly.

Now lets get to the business. Go ahead and install Ccleaner. Now that you have the program installed go ahead and run the cleaner function.

Now that you have cleaned out some temp files, lets go ahead and disable all of the items starting up with your machine except your antivirus. To do this you will need to click on tools then start up select each item then disable.

Now that you have disabled those un-needed start ups lets go into the settings, we will have Ccleaner run when your machine boots, so that you will never have to worry about cleaning temp files again.

To do this:
  • Hit options.
  • Settings.
  • Place a tick to run Ccleaner when the computer starts.

Now go to the advanced tab, and select close program after cleaning, now run the cleaner again this will close Ccleaner.

Install and run this defrag, then use it daily,  http://www.toolwiz.c...z-smart-defrag/

Use these on demand scanners to help you stay malware free, no need to post any log in this forum, these are for your personal use, run these when time permits, a full scan is key.

Once you are done, post the logs that I requested. I will help you change any settings, or disable some items if needed.
