McAfee Security Scan Plus
This program is installed usually without user consent and the program does not do anything. It ofter gets installed when downloading other software.

Search App by Ask
This program is also installed without user consent and may hijack your search engine

RealPlayer
This program plays real files and that's all. It takes up space and may run at start up. If you use leave it.

 

What are the issues you saw that we are now attempting to fix with the script shared?

Those entries I'm removing are "orphaned" entries, there not pointing to anything there is no file associated with them, orphaned entries can sometimes cause odd errors. The 2 Firewall entries were used by adware.

Run a Malwarebytes scan once a week to check things or when things just don't seem right.

Clear your temp files often using:
http://www.geekstogo...er-by-oldtimer/

Download and install Winpatrol
http://www.winpatrol.com/download.html

Winpatrol will alert you when a program is being added to start up and you will have a choice to say no along with many other features and it's free.

I'm using cleanup.exe that cleans all the unwanted files from my system.

Is temp file cleaner more effective.

Hello,

Looks like cleanup.exe should do the job, most users don't use anything and by the time they get here they have 3 to 4 Gigbytes of temp files. You should be ok using just that.

You have adwarecleaner installed could you run that again, here's the instructions in case needed, you should not have to download it. It should be on the desktop.

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your Desktop.

• Close all open programs and internet browsers.
• Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
• Click the Scan button and wait for the process to complete.
• Click the logfile button and the log will open in Notepad.
• NOTE: If you get an error message, it means that nothing was found. Exit from AdwCleaner.
• Click on the Clean button follow the prompts.
• A log file will automatically open after the scan has finished and the PC has rebooted.
• Please post the content of that log file with your next answer.
• You can find the log file at C:\AdwCleaner
