Installing windows xp by formatting old windows xp which was crashed....
During Installation it shows following error,Fatal Error:

One of the components that windows need to continue setup could not be installed.

Finally got solution,problem in cd/dvd drive cause the issue..change the drive now working! Go to the full post »

Hi,
Maybe there are some disk errors! Try to run chkdsk by following this guide:

I assume that E: is the CD/DVD reader.
A long time ago I heard of a problem with the MS disk which did not allow for a complete new install. The answer from MS was to buy a new version of the installation disk. I doubt that will help you much though.

Finally got solution,
problem in cd/dvd drive cause the issue..
change the drive now working!
