After running this tool ofmcaffee, reboot, black screen long time , then internetconnection was not there for a while (yellow triangle) but then wifi icon became normal and inernet was back.

I rebooted again just to make sure, and it rebooted ok.  Rebooted again :-) I think it's better.

Now I want to update the drivers,

I will start with the display driver

on toshiba download I find :

two display drivers: intel (09-februari-2015 version 10.18.103308) and nvidia (16-june-2014 version 9.18.13.2660)

in device manger there are two display adapters : intel and nvidia, I''m confused now, do I have two videocards?

intel HD graphics 4000   28-Oktober-2013 version 10.18.10.3345

Nvidia Geforce 710 M   05-november-2013 version 9.18.13.2765

Should I update them both?

ADDED:

While installing readme file says:
Intel:
Release Version: Production Version

Driver Version: 15.33.4.64.3308
Release Date: September 20, 2013

So it's even an older version? and not from 09-februari-2015 as stated on the website, hmm. and according to the versionnumber the installed one is the newest one.

No need to update?

Wireless driver:
Device manager:
Qualcomm atheros 17-10-2013 10.0.0.270
Website Toshiba:
Atheros: 25-februari-2014  10.0.0.263

installed driver version is newer then the one on website, yet date is older from the installed one?? strange.

The Intel graphics is probably builtin to the motherboard.  You probably have a video jack on the motherboard then a separate video card.  If you are not using the Intel it is not important to update - you can even disable it in Device Manager if you are sure you are using the other one.

I searchedin google about two video cards on laptops. in control panel there is a nvida app, it is set on automatic, but if I click in this options, I can choose intel or the other card.

I also read that intel uses les from battery.

Or does this automatic changing also use more memory?

Normally laptop is always at home, so battery is not that an issue.

You would have to ask Toshiba why there are two.  I forgot this was a laptop.

Ok

I have send them an email

I also foun desktop toshiba, an app that also let me update software, it found a update for toshiba videoplayer, nvidia geforece experience 2.1.2

and two bios updates:  bios 1.30 en bios 1.40

Do I need to install first the 1.30 then the 1.40 or can I jump to the latest.

and strange, I don't get any update for drivers, so it seem I already have the latest. why does windows update comes with a wiireless driver update? hmm

You should be able to install the latest bios without the other.

ok

bios updated

bitdefender internet security 2015 installed

did a quick scan : no infections

did a full scan: infections found, do I have to worry? I thaught laptop was malware free after folowing the steps.

see report ( xml file)

https://www.sendspace.com/file/g7ul5ga rboo

windows update only processes if rebooted, if i choose to shutoff, it does not mention to process the updates.

very annoying if i want to close the laptop and no updates take place

Bitdefender found some adware it didn't like in a download of a Homeland Security video.  It didn't find anything active.  There was something in System Restore Points.  We hadn't done the final cleanup which removes all but the last Restore Point so that's not surprising.

To delete all but the most recent restore point:

1. Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then click on Disk Cleanup.
2. Select the system drive (typically this is drive letter "C") if prompted.
3. Click on "Clean up system files".
4. Provide consent or the appropriate credentials if prompted by User Account Control.
5. Click on the "More Options" tab.
6. Under "System Restore and Shadow Copies", click on the "Clean up..." button.
7. In the dialog that appears which asks if you are sure, click on the Delete button.
8. Close the Disk Cleanup window.

When you close your laptop it doesn't normally shut off.  It just goes to sleep.  If you want it to shut off when you close it then follow the instructions here:

about closing laptop,I mean that I right click the window icon (windows 8 left bottom corner) , select 'shut off or log off', then select 'shutoff'.

this will shut off the system completely.

But when updates have to be installed, I go to right click window icon, select 'shut off or log off', then I need to select 'reboot and process updates'. I cannot see  this added text with the 'shut off ' selection.

I read it, but no info about the windows update.

at this moment there are not updates, so if I right click the start button, I see shut off, reboot, sleep, log off.

Normally I see :  only the selection reboot has the  text 'update and restart the pc'.

Normally I should be able to update and shut off, but that is not the case.

I'm not the best source for Win 8 info.  You might want to post in our Win 8 forum.

One thing : action center says to fix some things , it claims that there is no antivirus and that i have to enable windows defender.

I folowed a step (reset repository) I found on a webpage of bitdefender, reboot, but same problem.

Since you know you have an anti-virus you can just tell the Action Center not to monitor the anti-virus.
