I have WinXP, SP1 and I am using Internet Explorer 6. Sunday, I was having some problems with my Java Virtual Machine, so I uninstalled it and I went to the sunmicrosystems website to download the Java Virtual Machine again. Since then, I have had all sorts of pop ups! They even come up after I have turned the Internet off!
I use ETrust EZ Antivirus and it keeps finding the following two files:
Win32.SillyDi.HQ
HTML.MHTMLRedir!exploit
It says that they are infected and deleted, but when I reboot, they come back. I have also noticed that a search engine called hooowah.com is the first popup and when you x out of it, that seems to trigger the other popups.
I have attached my hijack this logfile. Can someone please help. Thanks.
