I appreciate that, but I don't want to lose my hosts configuration, it keeps me safe from many things.

It would be more helpful to know what spybot added so I can manually delete those entries.

I have an ssd so speed shouldn't be an issue.

I am comfortable with MBAM. I reinstalled windows because I had an MBAM issue in the first place.

I use msconfig for startups. CCleaner was the root of a previous reinstall disaster. I am not willing to install anything by that company again.

My habits of mse and mbam and ninite come from a phone call with microsoft who explained to me about running things smoothly and easily without messing with the registry or overkill 'system cleaners'.

After I reinstalled I decided I am not going to get a virus again. And I haven't got one.

Try and update your drivers with snappy driver installer, make sure and create a restore point first.

Your hosts file also shows an illegal copy of adobe, you can always get that back if you want....

I am not going to be able to help you anymore from this point, since you are unable to do anything I suggest.... I understand though, no big deal. :)
