Hi there.
I have this motherboard: Biostar P4M890-M7 ver. 7.7, the BIOS is Phoenix-AwardBIOS (P4M890-M7A) and has already been flashed.

And this processor: INTEL© '06 E6700

My problem is that the motherboard won't boot when I install this processor, it acts like if they were not compatible.
Months ago I tried to install a core2 duo E8400 but the motherboard wouldn't boot with that cpu, so I googled a little
and found this compatibility list, where the model E8400 is not listed.
So I was like "Well, it looks like you can not put a diesel truck engine into a little 80s toyota", then I made an exchange
for a less powerful processor (PentiumD E2180) and and a sound card. The funny thing is that the E2180 is not in the
compatibility list but it works, then I was like "What the...?".
A time has passed and I want more power, so I spent all of my savings on this E6700 and now I face the surprise that
this isn't working either.
Then the question would be: Is there a workaround for this issue? Maybe some change can be made to the CMOS...?
