Hello,

I have found a fix for Windows Update on Windows 8.1 Pro build 9600. It fixes problem with slow searching for updates. I tested it on many computers with Windows 8.1 Pro build 9600 and it's working. I combined many fixes from many sites and I have found this combination.

FIX:
Install these updates (download them manually from Microsoft site):

1. Windows8.1-KB3065988-v2-x64
2. Windows8.1-KB3138615-x64
3. Windows8.1-KB3020370-x64

You need to install these updates in that order. After you install these updates Windows will find updates in less than 3 minutes. I recommend reinstalling Windows and don't connect your computer to the internet before you install these updates.

You need to reinstall Windows and install these updates on clean Windows installation. Don't connect computer to the internet before you install these updates.
