it seems to me that on their homepage   www.whatsapp.com  there is only software for installing whatsapp

on an Iphone etc, but not for a desktop!

I could find some websites who claim to have the s/w for a desktop, but can I trust them?

 

So wondered if someone here knows of a safe way to get whatsapp for my desktop?

The site comes up clean at Virustotal, you can check for yourself by copy/pasting the url and have it scanned here
