Hi all,

First time poster and will probably expose my lack of expertise with all this, but could use some help so here goes:

Owing to work changes I need to set up a home office. Key among my requirements is the ability to run multiple screens. Specifically, I need to be able to watch two TV channels at once, ideally on separate (biggish) screens. For this I would rather not have to fork out a fortune for Sky subscriptions etc, I figured I should be able to stream them. Someone mentioned to me the Kodi box?

On top of these I also need to have a workstation with multiple screens -- minimum two large ones but ideally more. I will also need a camera for video conferencing, and obviously when I use that it'll be running yet another thing at the same time as everything else.

The software I use is happy on either PC or Mac, so I can be flexible on that. I want a machine that's fast and easy to keep virus free, updated and functioning. I don't have any great storage requirements, it's more about connectivity and speed for me.

Can anyone offer advice on how I should set up? What's the best way to get those TVs running? What's the minimum internet speed I need? How powerful will the computer need to be to run all this?

As you can see I am a total amateur so appreciate all input. At this stage, budget is not a big issue. UK-based.

Thanks

Two different scenarios, one computer build and one TV and home theatre related, for the first you would be better to build your own or purchase the parts and have a local tech build it for you if not confident to do it yourself, the second, Smart TVs have internet connection and USB ports for such things as Firesticks and USB cameras.

Let us know about the computer related info first if you will.
