Try setting the laptop to High Performance. Search for
power options
hit Enter.
If you don't see High Performance, it's hiding under Show Additional Plans.
Does that make any difference to Interrupts?

That made a big difference. I expect we can live with that. Wonder what it looks like without the battery now?
The battery report shows it discharges rather quickly but from what I read even with the 12 cell battery it doesn't last but 4-6 hours. It doesn't really look like the battery is that bad but if you do decide to replace the battery then either the

No, the adapter does not seem hot and it's been plugged in and charging for about 1/2 hour or more. Is it okay to use the increased wattage (90 vs 65)?
