That made a big difference.   I expect we can live with that.  Wonder what it looks like without the battery now?

 

The battery report shows it discharges rather quickly but from what I read even with the 12 cell battery it doesn't last but 4-6 hours.  It doesn't really look like the battery is that bad but if you do decide to replace the battery then either the

Major complaints with the above seem to be the AC cord being too short.  This is a 90W unit so stronger than your current 65W.  It's possible that the battery is OK but the power unit is marginal and has trouble charging the battery and running the laptop.

No, the adapter does not seem hot and it's been plugged in and charging for about 1/2 hour or more.  Is it okay to use the increased wattage (90 vs 65)?
