I have problems with windows updates, it keeps telling me I have important updates and just reverts back saying failed. I have even tried the microsoft one time only update agent and that doesn't really work. Have had to ring microsoft and they updated, but keep telling me I need to change to windows 10. My computer was made 4-5 years ago and the tech guy said his is still on windows 7 which he prefers and it works fine. I cannot go to see him because I live on the other side of uk now. Can you please help me. I took a screenshot but I cannot upload for your to see.

Kind regards

Hi donyaaa and welcome to G2G!

If it's reverting then we need to take a look at the Windows update log to check which update is failing and what error code you are getting.

Click start > in the search programs box type for windowsupdate.log and press enter.  This will open notepad and display the log.

Can you please either copy / paste into your reply or attach the log file to your reply?
