I have a question referring to the xtraction of olf files on crippled PC.  About a year ago I moved up from Windows XP to Windows 7 laptop.  When my Windows XP crashed(blue screen and seeing as that Windows XP had been unsupported for some time rather then spending any more time or expense with it I chose to move along.

Now no doubt there are some crucial copyrighted files on the XP I was wondering if any of those files can be extracted to go on my Windows 7 or available USB flash drives and how do I go about it.

Put this thread on "hold" as I do not have monitor with me this week.  Actually when the pc acted up I had a black screen with a message that said" Start Windows Normally" but after pressing "enter" I got the same screen again prompting me to "Start Windows Normally".  I wonder if I can connect  my laptop screen to the PC that I could use that instead of a monitor.

Let know when you can get a monitor and we can see what we can do here.

Thanks
