I purchased a new phone and part of the setup is asking for the region (ie. country). I live in a country that I don't speak the language. So can I just pick the region of my home country or is the region important?

Thanks for the link. It certainly was helpful. My old phone was setup with the country I am currently living in. Do you know if region only applies for app store purchases?

Need to do some more research on changing region to see what all it may apply to.

 

If you Google "Changing region on android" you might find other information that maybe important to you.
