On the page that first comes up when I start W10, I have icons for most of the software I use.   I have attached a screenshot to show what I am talking about.

For Google calendar I use the icon that Google uses for it.  Well, Google has a PNG file that I have converted to a ICO file.

Everything is fine for a day or two, and then it goes blank, as shown in the screenshot.

I did exactly the same thing on my laptop and it has never gone away.

Any idea what is causing this and how I can avoid it disappearing?

Settings - System - Tablet Mode - toggle it off, see if your icons come back. Or, if you right click on the desktop, click “view” and then make sure “show desktop icons” is checked off.

Only the Calendar icon disappears.  All the others are fine.
