This is a lousy work laptop that needs to be thrown into a trash can!  In the interim, I got all this virus crap on my screen that I can't get off and don't know what to do!!  It is difficult to use the laptop and my work may be compromised...?  At any rate, I cannot get my company's support right now because it is holiday time and there is nobody that can assist.

Can anyone advise me how to get this junk from continuously popping up and not allowing me to use the laptop???

Thanks!

Try going into Safe Mode:

https://support.micr...ee-31e0e6a5e4dc

When you get to the Startup Settings screen, choose

Enable Safe Mode => Enable Safe Mode with Networking

This should allow you to boot without the malware.  Then open a browser, go to

https://www.geekstog...very-scan-tool/

Click on Download Now (most Win 10 users will need the  64 bit version)

Save the file then go to the Download folder and right click on the file and Run as Admin.

Once it comes up and checks for updates, click on SCAN.  You will get two files.  Post both as Replies to this topic.  Use a separate post for each log.

Alternatively you can attempt to run a Window Defender Offline Scan:

Start where it says:

Run a scan
