Thanks again for the help...I would love info on how to set up my old system as a home server...I know how to install h/drives and I also have a usb adapter that I use to see files on a drive...I just want to use my old ssd for all my links and small programs I have installed through the years. MY only question is can I remove Windows 10 first without damaging all those programs? maybe the server install will allow this???

95/98% of programs have to be reinstalled.
The programs write files to the registry.
So, win 10 would need to be the boot drive.
You could be lucky and have 1 or 2 programs run BUT it would be more the exception.

Can you find all the programs you need?
I am having issues with Quicken Home & Business. I had version 12 on my system and they wanted me to update online to ver 13 and now it will not load...I can only find my ver 10 cd but not my ver 12 cd.
...
Maybe more..I just don't have a lot of free time this month but will advise later after I talk to Quicken support
ok
I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T430, it's on Windows 10 Pro (22H2) and I have upgraded the Bios from Legacy to UEFI and the hard drive to a 500Gb SSD and Processor is i7-3632QM 2.2GHz Quad Core, Memory is 16Gb. I just need to upgrade the TPM from 1.2 to 2.0 to be able to upgrade to windows 11. When I Hit windows button + R and enter "tpm.msc" it tells me the TPM is ready. What do I have to do to upgrade the TPM
