...I have this Asus laptop (K712E), not all that old, that came with Windows 11 preinstalled...it's been fine until today, when I went to use it...I am using the Windows PIN method to log on (shared laptop with wife; we have separate users on it)...
...upon powerup, it started normally and displayed the two separate users, I selected my user and got prompted for the Microsoft/Windows PIN...it accepted the PIN but then went black screen (with white mouse pointer that moves with the touch pad but does nothing else)...sounds like a Windows boot file might have gotten corrupted and put the startup into a loop (one of the two indicators on the left side giving steady short blinks) and can't finish starting...
...to make matters worse, I don't have another 'clean' computer to work with to download and use any Windows repair tools...how could I work around the problem armed only with a Kindle Fire? 😁...or is that even possible?...
