My computer was infected with Spysheriff, but it may have been affected by other malware as well. How can I be sure that I have all of the files off of my computer. I've followed all of the steps that are mentioned in the "Read this first" post on the Malware forum. I download XP Sp2, i've got hijack this, ZoneAlarm antivirus, ccleaner, ewido security suite (although ewido and ZoneAlarm might conflict, I'm not sure about that) and a couple other files. What about Prefetch? I still have that folder on my computer, so do I need to delete that as well? I've noticed that some users are advised to delete the following files:
"Microsoft Internet Acceleration Utility"="iau.exe"
"Internet Connection Wizard"="stisvsq.exe"
"Games Acceleration"="svshost.exe"
"Internet Mail and News"="msqdevl.exe"
"Microsoft Management Console"="lssas.exe"
"Multimedia extensions"="mservice.exe"
I still have those files on my computer. Should I delete them? Are they part of the Malware, or normal files that are just taken over by the Malware?
I can post a HijackThis log if it's needed.
