While attempting to free up space on my C drive, I inadvertently erased System. INI file ( windows registry). The instructions given to possibly correct were to reinstall Windows 98, however, when I attempt, there is not enough space on the C drive. The C drive has 1.99 Gb with 32.9 MG free space and the D drive has 389 MG with 239 MG free space. I would appreciate any assistance anyone could offer Thanks

Have you tried to recover System.ini?

If not, try this:

I downloaded the file to my desktop as you suggested, however, I am unable to open it from the desktop. Are there any instructions available at this point? I am somewhat of a novice at this so any detailed instructions would help. Thanks so much for your help-whoever you are!

I believe that this worked! However, my image on my screen expanded and lost resolution. Also, this caused some of my controls( minimize, close etc) to be oput of reach of my mouse, so sometimes I have to " escape" or close down to get out of a program. Any suggestions? Again, thanks so much for your assistance--whoever you are. Jim

You're going to have to reinstall the drivers for your devices. Try AIDA32 to identify hardware and locate drivers.
