Click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools, dcisc clean up, run this then press more options, click system restore clean up confirm clean up

sfc /scannow is probably adding to the size of system restore

While extracting, make sure the path of the destination folder is c:\Windows, becuase the zip file already has path for all the files set inside.
(where c: is the drive letter or the partition where XP was installed).
