A question has come up with my step-daughter. She is running Millenium with CD Burner. Me I'm a novice at this stuff. What is required to be able to burn CD's./ Is it a program such as "Nemo" or EasyCDCreator, or is it also based on CD Drive unit which has to be installed.

Please advise

\Thanks for all past help!

Howdy:

Nope.. all you need is a burning program.. Nero and Roxio are two of the better ones but there are others out there as well..

I have a Packard Bell that had a burner, Nero and winME and it didn't work either. I put the burner in another machine but found that there was a Nero compatability update for ME at the Packard Bell site, so you might want to check Nero or your machine maker's site for a compatability update. ME doesn't seem to get along so well with many applications.

Here comes another foolish question. I have just installed LG 52X Max CD Drive unit. Can this unit be used to burn cd's (with the appropriate software of course)? If not what is recommended?

No.. That is simply a cd-rom drive.. You need to buy a cd/r or cd-rw drive in order to burn..
