Hi, all those things in your list don't show up when i run the hijack scan again. I thought I'd better ask you if I should just do the ones that are there.

You don't need to restart, but it's okay if you do. Some Spyware programs morph and change their name each time they're loaded.

good idea!!! see you in the morning.

Here is what happened after I did what you told me to do....

The blue search bar that was at the top of my screen is gone, but the icons are still on my desktop. And the browser is still the "allaboutsearching.com" page instead of my regular Yahoo home page. I still cannot click on the "Start" button except for the first 2-3 seconds when I first start the computer. After that, clicking doesn't work on anything that is in the bottom taskbar, but it does work on the desktop icons.

Here is the new log:

HI, I'm back. Hope you had a good night's rest.

I think I may have done something wrong.........

Here's what has happened since I came back today and read your latest post.......

When I turned on my computer and connected to the internet, my IE browser would work. I got the 'page not found' message. Then I tried the IE icon that the spyware had put on my desktop and it did the same thing. I tried doing this several times.

So then I opened my Netscape browser and it was ok so I used that to come here and see what you wanted me to do.

Then I went and rebooted and ran the hijackthis and checked all the things that were on you llist that were also on the hijackthis scan list. Not everything was there though. Then I did the "fix checked" and closed hijackthis.

BUT I SUDDENLY REALIZED THAT MAYBE I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE SAVED A LOG AT SOME POINT EVEN THOUGH YOU DIDN'T MENTION IT SO I DECIDED TO COME BACK HERE AND ASK BEFORE I DO ANYTHING ELSE.

And when I connected to the internet to come back here, my IE browser was working again although it still takes me to the "allaboutsearching.com" page.

Did I mess up by not saving a log????

What should I do now?

Not to worry. It's easily removed. This time please follow the instructions very carefully, be sure all your browser windows are closed, and double check to be sure all items are checked and then fixed.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\SahAgent.exe
C:\PROGRA~1\rdrante\Boob army.exe
C:\PROGRA~1\ezula\mmod.exe
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = allaboutsearching.com
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [DDCActiveMenu] "C:\Program Files\WildTangent\DDC\ActiveMenu\DDCActiveMenu.exe" -boot
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AutoUpdater] "C:\Program Files\AutoUpdate\AutoUpdate.exe"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SAHAgent] C:\WINDOWS\System32\SahAgent.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [platformmode] C:\PROGRA~1\rdrante\Boob army.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [eZmmod] C:\PROGRA~1\ezula\mmod.exe

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log.

P.S. A guest can be a visitor to the site that hasn't registered, a member that hasn't logged in, or a search engine "bot". There's almost always at least one search engine browsing the site.

Many people are able to find resolution to their problems on this site without even posting. They just read what other members have done to correct a similar problem. That's one of the reasons we like users to post their results. <_<
