My hp pavillion is not reconizing my hard drive even after a new install of windows xp pro..I put it as the top priority in the boot sequence and set it on auto but when the pc boots it goes straight to cd...please help :tazz:

What model do you have, is this a reinstallation or upgrade, or what? Did you remove the hard drive, or change it? It's very hard to help if you don't at least take some time and tell us what you have, and have done to it.
