well then its not for ur motherboard, may or may not work, either way i wouldnt chance it see if u can find one but to be honest, i wouldnt expect to much for pc chips kinda cheap for a reason same for the duron processor all goes back to the old saying "you get what you pay for" however in saying that these things are designed to a certain specification and should work to that spec so, have a scout about for bios update.

ya i cant seem to find one :\ oh and the ram is 266/333fsb so thats not the problem i dont kno what to do

no figured that memory wasnt the problem whats the exact model of the board, im not farmiliar with the pc chips as i deal in only the top manufacturers, such as gigabyte, asus, and a couple of others, but ill look into it when i know the make and model and see what i can find out.

i cant make a diskette i have windows xp and no a drive :\

well u will need to aquire a floppy disk drive in order to do that wont u.

no the direcetions say i cant use winwos 200/xp to make a disk anyways i can make the file into a bootable iso? will that work on cd

also my bios is 3/19/2004 and the update was released om 2004/08/02 which i think it means i do need to update

if its a iso then i expect u can, obviously there directions as the makers of the hardware and software is going to far exceed any directions i can deliver so best of just doing what they say.

cant get the bios update to work i tried hooking up a a drive and boot it that way but it wouldnt work any other suggestions
