[COLOR=red]Okay one day i was serfing the net then later on all of a suddenly nortan says i have Bloodhound.W32.Ep. It also said it cant get rid of the virus acces was denies. I know alot of us know about this. Another thing that is odd is when i scan with Nortan 2004 the virus does not show up. This is the first virus ive ever had and im only 13 so i have no idea what is going on. iTs really confusing. I heard this virus copies itself or whatever and is very hard to clean. i could reinstall windows but its not my comp its my oparents. Okay heres the wierd thing thier is no sign of the virus doing anything my computer is not slowing down, no popups, no ads, and all that crap put on my desktop or anything in my files. I heard that Bloodhound does not effect Windows Nt and Xp, i have Xp. IS THIS TRUE? Anyway if anyone nows anything it would be appreciated. Thanks! :tazz:

Hi Redvision. Welcome to GTG. :tazz:

Please delete your temporary files by deleting all files and folders that are in those folders (do not delete the temp folder itself) like for example
C:\WINDOWS\Temp\
C:\Temp\
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\
Also delete your Temporary Internet Files, be sure to also select delete all offline content.

or if you have Windows XP.

Please delete your temporary files. Double Click My Computer (WinXP: Navigate to Start --->My Computer)
You will see an icon representing your harddrive (most likely C: Drive) Right Click on the hard drive icon and click Properties at the
bottom of the fly out window. One the very first tab (General) you will see a button labeled "Disk Cleanup"...click that button.
Make sure the following are checked:
Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files and
Recycle Bin

Click OK and Disk Cleanup will delete those files for you.

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

Reboot into safe mode, softly tape F8 when computer reboots, and go to add/remove programs.

Get rid of these if they are there.
