Hi, I have a Dell SC420 server that I am done using for "server" purposes and would like to make an internet browsing machine out of, so I wiped my server O.S. off of the SATA hard drive, but when I try installing Linspire, it says that there is no usable drive to install to. Could this be because the drive was formerly partitioned as NTFS? If so, would a program like Partition Magic or OS Commander make it possible to install to this drive?

I had a similar problem installing suse 9.3 on my dell laptop, it wasnt detecting my hardrive, try using the following line as an install option, when your choosing from the install menus add this line at the bottom

insmod=ide-generic
