winfixer side effects

Well, it took downloading approximate 5 anti-spywares to get rid of the winfixer bug. of course, I could rant about how we should target them for targeting us...but I won't. I only want to fix what I hope is the last side effect of this extremely annoying virus/trojan/whatever.

btw, avg worked well, but this site's recommended spyware doctor found an unbelievable # of infections where the others found none...

Anyways, usually, when I shut my laptop lid or when I specifically want it to go into standby, it does. Since I was infected yesterday, the computer keeps turning back on and connecting to the internet. that is very scary.
