hi,geeks. my computer can't play XVid with Windows Media Player. then i downloaded the codec under the instruction of "Web Help". but no sound at all. it is the same with Realplayer. Many thanks in advance.

You could give VLC media player a try. It's a freeware media player that plays loads of different formats including Xvid.

i would like to say thank you, Simplejohn and ZEUS GB, for your advice. glad to tell you that VLC media player is amazing, it works well. it's the first time i have ever heard and tried the player. it gives me very deep impression. although i got the latest version Windows media player, it doesn't work.
