WARNING: not all files found by this scanner are bad. Consult with a knowledgable person before proceeding.

If you see a message in the titlebar saying "Not responding..." you can ignore it. Windows somethimes displays this message due to the high volume of disk I/O. As long as the hard disk light is flashing, the program is still working properly.

OK,Clear all the .bat and .reg files I had you build off the Desktop!

Lets make one last one and after you run it,you can clear it off as well!

Copy the text below to a blank notepad page and Save it to the desktop as Remv.reg

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions\Approved]
"{321354B2-DABE-4FA1-A3C2-FAADF1BF837E}"=-

[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{8eb134d0-1732-4ca3-9555-369592324258}]

Double Click Remv.reg and allow it to merge into the Registry!

If System Restore is still Disabled-> Renable it now and Restart the PC!

So,how is the PC running and booting up?

it took forever to restart all processes. but it has been doing that the past few days. in the right hand lower corner a red shield with an x on it pops up and says the computer may be at risk, that norton antivirus isn't turned on. click balloon to fix.

eventually it all will load.

When i checked on system restore, it had turned itself back on.

during the past few weeks when i was trying to fix this beast, i added deepsight extractor, papimk software, and microsoft antispiware.

should i get rid of those?

Thats not exactly what I wanted to hear!

Is Norton free or paid for?

As for the rest you listed,I only use Ad Aware SE 1.06

I have no use for the others and they may be whats intefering with Norton and all the registry changes we are trying to make

Both Spybot and Microsoft AntiSpyware Have Real Time Protection that monitors and prevents certain changes to the registry!

So if either of these were running while you ran that last reg file,it didnt take!
