Yeah teardowns for some systems are hard to find... The inspiron 1000 only had 4 customer replaceable parts which could be part of the reason on that.... I'll look around and see what I can find

Indeed...... is this going to be a Toshiba only thread ?? BTW I think that if you can take "one" Toshiba apart, you can take maybe 70% of all Toshiba's apart.

We need something about Dell. Like the 4100 Inspiron f.e. Dell charges abnormal high prices for it's parts.

I work mostly with Toshiba laptops (95%), thats why I create disassembly guides for Toshiba. Here you can find some service manuals for Dell laptops.

I just used your instructions to take apart my Toshiba A65 and all I have to say is thank you so much!!!! Now to replace the DC jack and I'll be good to go again. If anyone has any tips on how to replace the DC jack it would be greatly appreciated!
