password protecting anything with javascript is pretty useless because js scripts are client based, so the person can just look at the script and find out what the pw is....


server side scripts are more secure

Server side scripts are ones where a users request is run directly to the server to present dynamic pages. PHP and ASP would be server side languages

client side would be css, js, html
