Right click on the slave drive and choose properties...tell me what it gives for information.

under general tab it says:
Type: Local disk
File system: Fat 32
used space: 800kb
free space: 9.52 Gb
Capacity: 9.53 Gb

Perfect.

Now install the Max Blast you downloaded and run it on THAT drive. We want to partition the drive and prepare it for Windows 98. Should be pretty straight foreward...if you have a problem or any questions, I'm right here.

do i place the program in that drive then in stall it or use it in my master and then use the software to fix the other drive. I want to max the partition size? right?

Install the Max Blast on the XP Master and run it on the slave. When you start the program, it should automatically detect both drives...make sure you choose the slave. Use maximum size.

The progress bar on Max Blast in almost finished loading. No, I haven't loaded anything else. :tazz:

Now we need to pull the drive out of the XP machine and jumper it back the way it was when you took it out of the Win98 machine...as master...and put it into the 98 machine hooked up to the last connector on the ribbon cable.
