Please help. I followed the directions and removed spyware, several worms and trojans.
I-worm/delf.cl and trojanhorse proxy.arb keep returning.

My windows autoupdate is disabled and cannot be re-enabled.

I also cannot update on the windows website (I
receive "error Ox 80070424").

And when I reboot I get "windows cannot find disk, please insert disk" and
"windows cannot find c:\windows\inet20002\services.exe"

Finally, I can't get AVG to load automatically on startup anymore. I have to
open it manually, then it can reside in the task bar.

I apologize for the delay getting to your log, the helpers here are very busy.

Before we can get started on fixing your problem you must change the location of Hijackthis. It should not run directly from your desktop or a temp directory. Please create a directory on your c: drive called c:\hijackthis and download and unzip hijackthis into that directory. Run the program from that directory from now on. It is essential that you follow these steps or certain important features of the program will not function correctly.

Once you have Hijackthis running from a permanent folder, please reboot and post a new hijackthis log.

Your log looks better now than it did in your first post. I take you've some cleaning on your own?

Please run msconfig and enable all startup items.

Please run Panda Online Virus Scan

You must allow the active-x control to run when asked.
You may need to disable your antivirus program while this scan runs.
There may be files that this scan will not remove.
Please include that information in your next post.
Make sure to reenable your antivirus program if you disabled it.

Reboot and post a new hijackthis log and the info from your virus scan.

Yes, I had tried some cleaning on my own. I have tried Panda in the past, but it offered me no way to clean up without doing a three hour trial download of their program.

I'll do what I have to, but I don't know how to disable my AVG...there is no choice at the bottom of the security window, and if I click by the green light, nothing happens. I'm getting the feeling something is really screwed up.

That's ok. AVG plays well with Panda so you should be able to run Panda without disabling AVG.

Panda won't remove the files that it finds, but it will give us a nice log so we can see exactly what we're dealing with. Then we can attack the problem manually.

1) I used hijack to get rid of the garbage, and it keeps coming back.

2) I cannot disable virus detector...the option seems to be gone.

3) My windows autoupdate is still disabled and cannot be re-enabled.

4) I also cannot update on the windows website (I
receive "error Ox 80070424").

5) And when I reboot I still get "windows cannot find disk, please insert disk"

6) I also don't recognize this:

That's several separate issues, so let's take them one at a time.

Please disable Spybot's Teatimer function before you proceed with this fix. If you're not sure how to do that, check this link.

Click Start -> Control Panel -> Internet Options.
Under the Connections tab, click LAN Settings.
Under Proxy Server, make sure the box is unchecked.
Under Automatic Configuration, check the box marked Automatically Detect Settings.
Click OK twice and close the Control Panel window.

Click Start -> Run and type in this and hit enter.

Click Start -> Run and type in regedit and hit enter.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wuauserv
Now look in the right pane of the window.
If you find a DeleteFlag key there, delete the key by right-clicking and
deleting.
Close the Registry Editor.

Reboot your computer. Check Windows Update and let me know if you still get that error.

That IP address is related to Juno. Is that who you use for your ISP?

When you did this, did you have to change anything?

Click Start -> Control Panel -> Internet Options.

Are you using the free version of AVG?
If so, uninstall it completely. Reboot your computer.
Then go here and download and install the latest version.

Is that the exact message that you get? Do you get any other information?

I never used Juno...I use netzero.

I changed the LAN settings, but as soon as I connect to internet,
something automatically switches it back to the proxy thing!

Ok, I reinstalled AVG...but I still don't know how to disable it when I
come across a fix that says "first, disable your virus detector."

The exact message is:
"Windows - No Disk
There is no disk in the drive.
Please insert a disk into drive.
Cancel Try Again Continue"

I have to hit one of the choices like ten times before it clears.
