software problem

Hi benk! Welcome to G2G!
After you install the software, locate the shortcut for it on the desktop and right-click on it and select PROPERTIES. In the new window that appears, click on the COMPATIBILITY tab. Check the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for, and then choose Windows 98/Windows ME from the pull down menu. Click APPLY and OK and then you will be able to run the program by double-clicking on it.

PS: Most Win98 software should be able to run on XP. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

i want to run games on winxp. i did have a software to run win98 software on winxp. i misplace the software thanks benkPS: Most Win98 software should be able to run on XP. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Fenor's suggestion should work. And...no, not all programs will run on XP. Some will not even run in Compatability Mode.
