As I've done a restore has the SP1A original download gone off my pc? I have tried to download it again but I'm getting error messages. The first said something like cryptography problem but that was trying to open the files over the network. The second which was downloading them again was just couldn't validate something. If the original is still there can I use it to install SP1 I've done a search but it came up with nothing. Sorry for being a bit stupid

Cheers

Hi

If you downloaded it to some permanent folder, it should be still there

Go to start -> run -> services.msc -> ok and tell me if cryptographic service is running?

Hi

If you have made backups when using Registry Repair Pro, try to put them back to registry.

All set to go thru the instructions on your link but thought I'd try SP1a again and guess what it worked. ?????
I''ve run AVG again and cleared a couple of high risks then scanned again and nothing found
Hopefully I'm ok, d'ye think

Thanks so much Shaba for all your time and help
