When you download the file you get the folder that looks like a zipper.
When you double click it then it asks where you want to save the contents to.
Save it to the desktop if that makes it easier for you.
Once you run the program then at the top of the autoruns window
5: Go to File at the top left of window then to Export As or Save in some versions.
6: Save AutoRuns.txt file to known location like your Desktop.
7: Attach to your next reply.

When you want to attach it to your reply you have to click on the Add Reply instead of Fast Reply
Under the response window to the right you will see a browse button. CLick that and then click on the autoruns txt file.
Once that is done then click on the Upload button to the right of the Browse button.
If done right there will be a notice saying the uploaded finished.
Scroll down further and then click on Add Reply

OK lets back up here for a minute.
When you ran the program did you save the log?
Where did you save it to?
What is the extension on the file.. txt, npd, wrd

Run the program as you did in a previous post.
Then click the icon that looks like a floppy.
Another window will open open showing where you are saving it to (probably "my documents" because you mentioned that before)
In the bottom of that window there is a "save as" box.
Click the down arrow and choose Text (*.txt)

Note: The default is as a .arn file. You can't upload that.

Yep that was it. Now hold on cause we are going to get complicated maybe.

Open Autoruns, click on "Logon" tab, and UN-check:

"IgfxTray"
"SunJavaUpdateSched"
"FancyStart daemon.lnk"
"msnmsgr"

When done restart computer and then:

Download TFC by OldTimer to your desktop
  • Please double-click TFC.exe to run it. (Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator).
  • It will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin.
  • Click the Start button to begin the process. Depending on how often you clean temp files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or two. Let it run uninterrupted to completion.
  • Once it's finished it should reboot your machine. If it does not, please manually reboot the machine yourself to ensure a complete clean.

Download Auslogics Defrag from the link in my signature below. Auslogics Defrag in my opinion is better because:
It does a more comprehensive job at Defragging
It will actually show you what it is doing
At the end of working it will show you how much speed you picked up
You can view a online log of the files that Auslogics defragged
