You will have to Perform a Repair Installation For Vista...guide is here...
This will allow you to repair your Vista installation and keep all of your personal user account files, settings, and programs

Can you get in Windows in Safe Mode? If so then try the below.

Hi,
I am now writing you from a cybercafe. I couldn't get it started even in Safe Mode. It would just get stuck in the loading screen, one similar to this one:

I have tried the Startup repair many times and none worked.

OK boot windows normally then do the following.

Go HERE and read the tutorial that shows how to do SFC or System File Checker and running in a Elevated Command Prompt in Vista and Win7.


If this doesn't correct the problem then do the following.

Tutorial for running chkdsk in Vista\Win 7 located HERE.
