I did a factory reset this afternoon. So hopefully that fixes the problem.

I talked with HP tech support. They determined that it wasn't faulty hardware. I used the HP Vision Diagnostics Disc and everything passed clean on it as well. So the techie said it was most likely do to a misinstalled driver and the only reasonable correction was a system restore. I just went onto factory restore since I've only had the computer for about 2 months.

Anyways, thanks for all your help and advice. Keep on keeping on. Mike.
